While it would be great to have a quick and easy estimate for glomerular filtration rate I think what this and other studies are mostly doing is demonstrating the effects of sampling error.
So far reports of resistant CMV have been limited but the near universal use of anti-viral prophylaxis in this setting is sooner or later is going to result in some very hardy viruses in a very vulnerable population. See here.
The better comparison would be to TAC-MMF-Pred rather than CsA-MMF-Pred since according to most studies that’s the gold standard.
