About ten years ago I wanted a window to an alternate universe to get me through Oregon winters. Having no technique whatsoever, it took me almost a year on piddling around to get it the way I wanted. In real life it’s 6 feet tall and 1.5 feet wide. Big enough to do the job, though the wormhole feature I wanted has never worked properly.
I always liked The Dream by Rousseau – a copy hung on the wall in my elementary school back before the prudes took charge – and I think the leaves here show some of that influence.
